Hi everyone, someone questioned me on whether or not to buy the gel stamp stuff for the cricut machine. I have it, never used it because of the consistency. So I thought, what about the rhinestone rubber??
With my new cutter (graphtec 5000-40) the rhinestone rubber cuts beautifully, so why not.
Here are my results, now to try more intricate details.
here the design cut in the rubber with the excess removed. the back is sticky too.
I stuck the letters to the clear block. I needed to double up the letters to build height. It worked pretty well. I am not a very good stamper, so your results may be better, but you can save a ton a money cutting your own lettering. Can't wait to try more tomorrow.
see told you i couldn't wait, here is a flourish i created in inkscape, this time i layered three of them.
I'm thinking its the ink, maybe its old too.
Tomorrows project.. using embossing powders with my stamps.
