Mini Teddy Bears, bunnies and more

Wow have I been busy,  here are the cutest tiny 2.5 to 3 inch jointed teddy bears, bunnies, elephant and kitty cats made mostly in the hoop for embroidery machines.  You do not need an embroidery machine if you purchase the kit.

I am currently selling kits which include all the items you will need to complete these adorable tiny creatures, including pre-sewn pieces.  Just cut them out, stuff them and sew together.  Full instructions and illustrations are included, plus a paper pattern for future creations, and a cd with multi-format embroidery designs to make more on your own machine.

Kits are available for purchase, send me an email or paypal payment of $20.00 which includes shipping. Please specify kit number.

I will also be uploading files for sale for embroidery machines only at VDBC this weekend, they will be $5.00 each in multi-format zip files for instant download.

New paperpiecing in the hoop designs

Wow, I've been working on these since 2003.  I've finally finished some samples for the block of the month demos at the local sewing store.  I will also be demonstrating this technique at the Original Sewing and Quilt Expo in Schuamburg, IL, at the Viking Booth #

I have alot more completed but not actual samples, all will be on sale for purchase individually or in sets at VDBC website with instant downloads in multi-format embroideries.

Paperpiecing in the hoop is a paperpiecing pattern digitized to let your embroidery machine stitch it perfect for you.  Most designs are made up of four squares that when sewn together create a perfect quilt block and unlike traditional paperpiecing, there is no paper to remove afterward.

Files will be uploaded to the website this weekend, so be on the lookout for them come March 19, 2012.

Here are some pics of the samples I made for the Bedrunner for my guest bedroom.

Crochet baby shoes and bonnets

Omg, I made these and they turned out soooo cute.  Designed them myself after the kit/pattern i bought turned out badly. Loved the colors in the yarn, so i just did it similar to my other ones and added a thicker band and trim.  Wish I knew a photographer to use them in a shoot.  You can email me if you would like to purchase them.

Crochet gifts

I had to wait till after the holidays to post some of the things so that not to ruin the surprise.

Here are a few of the crochet items.
Matching navy hats with red roses, lol the mom and daughter in the middle put on each others by mistake.

A beard style hat for the son, we all got a good laugh out of this one, especially when his Grandma put it on.

Paperpiecing in the hoop block of the month

I am finally getting around to promoting my paperpiecing in the hoop designs for machine embroidery.
I created most of these about six years ago, or maybe even more.  I made a quilt for my daughter and I am working on one for my son.  Somehow I  never put them up for sale on my website, although there was a short run on etsy a few years back.

I was asked to do a demo at the Schaumburg Quilting show this spring in the Viking booth, so I started making samples.  I think these would be great hands on classes for the local sewing stores here in Chicago.  I would like to promote these as  "block of the month" classes.  We can enjoy the company of others, learn a new technique and make a quilt or bed runner.

My sample is going to eventually be a bed runner as these are becoming very popular now.

Here is a sneak peak at a few of the blocks I have completed so far.

I also created mini 2-3 inch key chain fobs of a few of the designs, these are created entirely in the hoop and make great gifts for quilters.
